I drew two doodledoos yesterday; no colouring though.

I had a moment of ‘genius’ and printed out the drawing on Winsor and Newton Marker paper. I checked my printer could take such light-weight paper, and it could, and am I glad it can!
Marker paper makes it so much easier to blend alcohol markers, such as Copic, and it’s very white colour means the marker colours remain luminous.

A little bit different, just a little, but fun all the same! I’m really going to have to print and colour this one I think!

Between a couple of ‘meh’ days, busy days with appointments, I’ve managed to colour this particular illustration of mine.

I coloured this one using copics, and the scan has washed some colours out.
I’ve had a couple of days busy with other matters and not much time to spend on drawing. Today, however, I’ve taken the time to relax with pen and paper. I’m feeling a bit out of sorts today. I think that’s reflected in the drawing.

New year, new books out!
The first is the sixth in the ‘Color Me’ series from Race Point Publishing, part of the Quartos group. This one is called Color Me Grateful, and is Lacy Mucklow and I It’s already available in the US, and in the UK from Thursday.
Out now, are two titles in the Forever Inspired series from Skyhorse Publishing – Angela Porter’s Designer Doodles and Angela Porter’s Tropical Rainforest.

Yes, I know; two doodles in one day. My only decision now is whether or not to colour them and if I do, what media to use!

Having fun, but I think I’ll do something a little different later on today.
Oh, I finally got round to figuring out a ‘doodle’ cuttlefish, which makes me quite happy! The badger also makes an appearance, along with a koala, pig, panda and monkey. A fairy cat just adds to the whimsy. My morning mug of tea is there too!

Coloured using Chameleon Pens.

I could be accused of enjoying myself way too much!
A pal requested more badgers and more squid … so here they are!
