Peace
Last week, someone on my facebook page asked if I had a peace sign design. I didn’t, but I do now, as you can see above.
If you’d like to download the image to print and colour for personal use (no selling on, no publishing in other places without express permission from me), please visit my facebook page! I hold the copyright to the image and all the legal stuff that goes with that!
I admit, the lines are thick on this one, but then it will, hopefully, end up looking like stained glass!
All I ask, is that if you do colour it, please share an image of the coloured design with me either here or on my facebook page, or on instagram – I really do love to see how people interpret my designs and bring them to life with colour!

Color Me Stamps!
I have designed sets of clear stamps for Hampton Arts. The range is called ‘Color Me by Angela Porter’. It’s been a lovely challenge to do, and another string to my artistic bow too.
I’m being sent my own sets of the stamps and I can’t wait to play with them and embossing powder in particular to get the ‘stained glass’ kind of colours that I so love!
Of course I’ll post my versions here. It’s all exciting for me! Everything!

My colouring day coloured design!
Admittedly not the best photo, but this was drawn yesterday. I started to colour it yesterday, using various brands of coloured pencils, and completed it today. An hour or so to draw, 10 hours to colour is my estimate!
I have also realised why I tend to use paints and markers and inks for colours so much these days – these media are kinder to my arthritic-y finger and thumb joints! I do love coloured pencils, the intensity of colour you can achieve, but needs must.
I have ordered various designs of cushioned pencil grips to see if they help with keeping my joints ache-free in the future.
In the meantime, I return to designing and drawing colouring templates with drawing pencil and pens, which seem to cause very few problems with the old joints.

It’s colouring day, if you’re taking part, have a lovely time with all your colours and templates. Enjoy taking the time out to create, relax, unwind and reconnect with yourself away from all the busyness of modern life.
I’m just drawing my design to colour in, as colouring in is a bit of a novelty for me these days due to all the linework I’ve been doing for colouring templates for new books up and coming – a fourth in the Color Me line, two more for Dover Publishing’s Creative Haven series.
There’s also two projects I’ve yet to have the clearance to announce, but they are exciting, and as soon as I can mention them, I will!
So, once again, happy colouring and happy creating!

A little colouring break
I’ve been busy with black and white line art over the past few days. Seeing so many people colouring artwork in with gay abandon had me hankering for my Polychromos coloured pencils, paper stumps and blending fluid for a while this evening. I drew some designs just for my own personal fun over the weekend and decided to add colour to one of them. Below is the result, the work in progress.
It could take a while to get finished as I have so much line art to do, which is great for me. It is therapeutic, soothing, healing for me and that is just what I need at this point in life.
One thing I could do with an answer to is why do scanners always wash out the colours I have used? I have a Brother A3 printer/scanner, which is great as I’m tending towards using larger paper these days, but try as I might I can’t seem to stop the color washout.
If anyone can give me any advice, help or instructions then that would be grand!
